Our Hats
Our collection is made up of about 50 gorgeous designer hats. It includes hats from Philip Tracey, one of the world’s top designers, Gina Foster, one of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge’s favourite milliners, a hat from the milliner for Four Weddings and a Funeral, and hats by top Australian and New Zealand designers. You could expect to pay between $350 and $2000 for one of our hats.
We have some examples on our website for you to get a feel for the type of hat we are offering.
You can hire our hats for between $60 and $100 to hire for the day depending on the designer. You will also need to pay a fully refundable $200 deposit. Courier fees, if required, are additional. Usually, you will pick them up from Newmarket, Auckland the day before the event and deliver them back the day after. We know that sometimes you have to go out of town event and we will work with you to fit around your travel dates.

Give us a call and tell us what colour you are interested in and we will get them out of storage for you to consider. You are welcome to bring your full outfit and try it on with the hats. We have a private space for you and a full length mirror.
Alternatively, send an email (designer.hat.hire@gmail.com) telling us what colour your outfit is and what colour hat you think you would like to wear (you might even want to send us a photo) and we will send you photos and information about the hats we have available.

We love hats.
Some people are shoe people, some are handbag people: we are the hat people.
We’d love more people to wear hats. Wearing a hat lifts your spirits, you walk with attitude, and it gives your outfit pizazz. You definitely have more fun in a hat.

Located in Newmarket, Auckland, we offer designer hats for you to hire. Almost all of them are one off, bespoke designs. Some are ‘high street’ designers – the Trelise Cooper, Kate Sylvester, Karen Walker’s of the hat world.

Which Hat For You?
Everyone suits a hat.
It’s just a matter of working out which hat shape is right for you.
Generally, the taller you are and the bigger your frame, the larger the hat you can wear. If you are small, a hat which is too big can make you look like a mushroom!
Short people will also find certain hats give them height.
This website shows you how to work out which face shape you have and then, work out what type of hat might suit you.
But generally, keep open minded and be prepared to try on a variety of different styles and you will educate yourself about which shape works best for you. Also, be prepared to try on the hat a number of different ways – slant it one way and then the other or try it back to front.
